Conclusion OUR VERDICT The iPhone 7 Plus has plenty to be pleased about - waterproofing, a twin-lens camera, a specs bump, stereo audio, a customisable Home button - but is there anything here to get passionate about? You might want the newer 8 Plus or X, but the 7 Plus still has a smart design and an impressive feature set and user experience; the Portrait Mode is rather lovely, too. But the price is still steep. Unless you're particularly in love with big screens or the very latest in camera features, the iPhone 7 may be a better-value option.

    • Screen still only full HD

  • Apple iPhone 7 Plus

    Plus

    • Dual rear cameras delivers true 2x optical zoom, with a cool bokeh Portrait mode. Battery lasts longer than last year's model, and longer than iPhone 7. Water resistant. Fast. Bigger storage options include 256GB model for serious photographers.

    Minus

    • There's no standard headphone jack: you'll have to use Lightning, or the included adapter, or go wireless. Design is showing its age, as competing phones squeeze a 5.5-inch screen into smaller, sexier bodies. And it's really expensive.

    Conclusion
The iPhone 7 Plus is one of the best point-and-shoot cameras ever -- and it's a great phone, too.

    Plus

    • Bra kamera
    • Lång batteritid
    • Vattentät

    Minus

    • Stor och klumpig
    • Saknar 3,5 mm-port
    • Ej utbytbart batteri
    • Inget microSD-stöd

    Slutsats

    problem.

ConclusionTo conclude, I guess the last question left on the table is if it’s really worth it to get the iPhone 7 Plus. This is one expensive piece of hardware, and as useful as some of the features like the zoom lens in the camera can be, the early compromise of basics like a headphone jack is enough to cause controversy. All this being said, you can’t deny that this is a great smartphone, and probably the most pleasant experience that I’ve had with an iPhone in a while, and notice I say iPhone. If you value a great experience for consuming content, insane battery life, a robust ecosystem, great customer service, and one of the best cameras in the industry, then I do recommend getting the iPhone 7 Plus. It truly is the best iPhone you can buy, and I know that actually means something for many people around the world that are already invested in the Apple ecosystem. And hey, if you can’t or just don’t want to pay so much money, don’t worry. This is 2016, and the market is flooded with similar alternatives that can fit your needs. The iPhone 7 Plus is a great smartphone, but it’s not the only great smartphone in the world right now.Related Videos

Conclusion The iPhone 7 Plus is an excellent phone. It’s Apple’s best yet, but it is also Apple’s most expensive yet, with a huge starting price. In some respects, the upgrades seem to justify this, but at the same time some features are arguably only catching up with what the competition has been offering for a while now – water-resistance for one. Taken as a whole, the performance, battery life, camera quality and stereo speakers are all compelling reasons to upgrade. But our advice remains much the same as for the iPhone 7: if you already own the previous generation, there’s not enough here to justify ditching a 6S Plus, especially if you’re halfway through a two-year contract. Those just coming out of contract on the iPhone 6 or 6 Plus would do well to grab a 7 Plus.

Apple iPhone 7 Plus review: Big changes from the big iPhone

    Plus

    • Big screen size
    • Great battery life and iOS 10 improvements
    • Most powerful iPhone yet so great for gaming
    • Water-resistance
    • Updated Home button
    • Dual camera fun

    Minus

    • No headphone socket
    • Dual camera depth effect imperfections
    • Big and heavy - so won't be suitable for all
    • Screen resolution behind the flagship curve
    • Expensive

Conclusion Of the two new iPhone 7 devices, the Plus certainly gets the most new features - making it the more worthy upgrade from either the iPhone 6 Plus or the iPhone 6S Plus. The core design of the iPhone 7 Plus isn't an overhaul though, it's about refinement, with subtle changes - the new Home button and glossy/matte black finishes with better hidden antennas - elevating the design without tearing up the rule book and starting again. The lack of a headphone jack will either infuriate you or go unnoticed. The biggest change is with the cameras. Sure, the Depth Effect is a work in progress, but it doesn't have to be used and doesn't take away from the cameras' overall excellence. Ultimately it's the resulting images that are great, and the 2x optical zoom functionality is welcomed. However, as we've always said of the Plus range, it's a big and heavy device that will divide opinion because of its wide body. Equally, it's an incredibly well-built device that won't disappoint - especially on the power and battery life fronts - because you'll be hard pushed to find a smartphone as capable and well-rounded elsewhere.Alternatives to considerPocket-lintGoogle Pixel XLIf you're tempted to switch away from iOS to Android, and want the purest, fastest version available in a smartphone which marries software and hardware like no Android device before it, you want the Pixel XL. Its build quality and design is up there with the best of them, it has a vibrant and punchy display and a battery that can last practically all day on a 30 minute charge.
